Finance Manager

For our R&D site located in Utrecht Science Park, we are recruiting a hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee end-to-end finance, accounting, and controlling for the entity. You will be part of a dynamic Finance team spanning both the Netherlands and Poland, and report directly to the Group Business Controller.

Your Responsibilities

• End-to-End Finance Management for an R&D site of approximately 50 FTE.
• Accounting: Managing daily transactions, ledgers, month/year-end closings, and overseeing accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monthly reporting of financial results to the Group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing annual budgets, conducting forecasts, and performing variance analysis to support business objectives.
• Cost Control & Profitability Analysis: Monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and conducting profitability analysis. Acting as a sparring partner to the Site Head and leadership team.
• Tax Compliance: Overseeing tax and statutory filings and coordinating with external auditors.
• Cash Flow & Risk Management: Managing cash flow planning and ensuring optimal liquidity.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 8 years of experience in finance, with 4+ years in managing end-to-end finance for a Dutch entity.
• Proven experience in an international environment, including reporting results to a corporate group.
• Strong experience in managing the profitability of an entity is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the WBSO subsidy scheme.
• A self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, capable of taking initiative and driving solutions.
• Comfortable handling both strategic and operational tasks, with a hands-on approach.
• Strong communication skills, including effective interactions with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
• Fluent in English, with at least proficient Dutch.
